This type of sign in process lets Tipply's focus on making a great
app for cocktails and mixed drinks while leveraging Google, GitHub, Facebook, or Twitter for account security. They
have security experts - we have cocktail experts.
Does this allow Tipply to access your photos, emails, tweets, etc?
Not at all. When you go to the Google sign in page, you'll see
what information our site requests. We only ask for specific
information which is used to authenticate you to your Tipply profile.
This is a user identification number. These platforms append more
basic profile information, such as an email address, name and profile
picture, but since Tipply doesn't need those we discard them.
What information does Facebook, Google, GitHub, and Twitter get from us about you?
These platforms knows that you've authenticated to Tipply and we have no
other affiliation with them and share no data with them. Separately,
Tipply uses Google Analytics to track general metrics on the site,
such as what pages are most popular, which pages take longer to load, etc.
